At Smiths we try to offer the best shipping rate possible. To do this we have a simple pricing structure. If your order value is over $150 Ex. GST then shipping is free. If it is under $150 Ex. GST then we charge a flat rate of $8.50 delivered anywhere in New Zealand.

We have a small but efficient distribution operation. Typically, if a product is in stock, orders received by 4pm will be dispatched same day. Out of stock items can take up to 5 business days to dispatch, we’ll be in touch if there are any extended lead times.


When will I receive my order?
For in stock items: North Island 1-2 business days. South Island 2-3 business days.

Can I collect my order?
No. We operate out of commercial premises with no retail outlet. We have trucks, containers, delivery vehicles and forklifts running all day and due to health and safety concerns we don’t allow customers onsite.

How do I track my order?
We use New Zealand Couriers for most of our deliveries. You can track your NZ Courier shipment here. For oversized or palletized orders (very rare) we use PBT. You can track PBT shipments here.

Do deliveries require a signature?
Yes. All deliveries require a signature. If you are not available to sign for the package please contact the delivery company. New Zealand Couriers have a handy tool called “Delivery Tags” where you can give permission to leave a parcel without having to sign for it. More information is available here.

My order arrived damaged
If your order arrives damaged, please do not sign for it! If you do, it means you’re agreeing to accept the goods as damaged. The best thing to do is get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can sort it out. You must notify us of any damage within 24 hours of delivery.

Can I change my delivery address?
It depends on the progress of your order. Please give us a call ASAP and we’ll do our best.

Do you ship internationally?
Our website isn’t setup to handle international orders. Please send us an RFQ and our customer service team will get back to you.
