Smiths supplies Allume Energy’s SolShare technology for shared solar projects in New Zealand.

Developed in Australia, SolShare is a behind-the-meter energy-sharing system that allows electricity from a single rooftop solar and battery system to be distributed across multiple separately metered apartments or commercial tenancies.

SolShare monitors demand and dynamically directs available solar energy to connected units. This helps increase on-site solar use while avoiding the need for separate solar arrays and inverters for every apartment or tenancy.

The system is suited to apartment buildings, mixed-use developments and commercial properties where multiple occupants share a common roof but have individual electricity meters.

Smiths provides local product and project support for SolShare applications. Contact our solar team early in the design process to discuss site suitability, system configuration and technical requirements.
